Nature Book Must Have!

So what goes into Laurel's books when she makes them? Simple. Hard core work, investigation, research, illustration via fine art, and basically years of internal prework or work in the line-up. That means each book takes an extremely long time to create.
After that, it's just the beginning, the editing begins, and that is another entirely whole other part of writing which entails hours and hours and hours of writing to perfection. It is no wonder that publishers are becoming a dying faction in the world other than ebooks because nobody has the time to put into the efforts other than the authors themselves overall.
The time spent to perfect a story, even a short one, can be daunting to the author as well. To an agent or publisher/editor it equates to money and sales, which if added up altogether, time and energy, promotional tactics and advertising...a ton of time and money has already been invested into a project that may or may not fly for that publisher and editorial company.
...And this is writing a book! Every author does things a little differently of course. Some spend more or less time with the making of their books when doing most of the work themselves, true, always true!
